Penguin Pajamas

So the Boyfriend is out of town for 5 whole days
leaving Lulu and I to fend for ourselves
He left early early in the morning to get a jump on his commute
so I barely and very sleepily said goodbye
(and according to him to watch out for alligators????)

When I woke up there was a text from him saying:

    miss you already
left you my penguin pajamas
love you
*Love you too*

Recession Friendly Entertainment

We are looking to save money just like almost everyone else
(we have a big vacation coming up )
We need less expensive nights out
and more dates at home
Mario Cart for the Wii is our new favorite Couples activity
We race against each other after dinner
~Finally proving that i might really be a terrible driver after all~

The Boyfriend and I are not Video Gamers
But Mario Cart is serious fun
We Love our Wii
(I wanted to do the Yoga so bad I searched for one for weeks)

I grew up on Nintendo
My Grandma and I would play Casino games on the mine all afternoon
Above is Libby "The Hottness" and I playing Wii Cheer
(check out Libby's Boyfriend in the background)
Matt is my Favorite part of that picture- he might be pointing and laughing
but it is alot harder than you might think

Cheers to Pineapple Mimosas and Healthy Competition
We always end up laughing all night
*I also might have road rage*

New York, New York

When I was a little girl, my favorite television channel was AMC
(before they went all contemporary and added commercials)
all day long it was a blur of black and white, lovely technicolor
 and strong women characters
who along with their girlfriends were out to make it in the big city.

The boyfriend and I had a wonderful Vacation
i was a tad overwhelmed at didn't take as many photos as i would have liked
but here are a few..

POP! Goes my heart...

The Boyfriend and I have a soundtrack to our romance
Silly right? we think so too
***
Before our first date
The Boyfriend contacted me via a popular networking site
(after our hilarious meeting on his birthday)
we corresponded over a week or so with funny little messages
he referenced the movie "Music and Lyrics"
with a little "POP! goes my heart"
As the year has gone by, we seem to watch that little movie alot
(He secretly loves Romantic Comedies)
We'll leave it on when we are lounging around the house
for the rest of the afternoon there is alot of singing and dancing

*Watch out*
It will totally get stuck in your head

Momma and Daddy

Our House is about to be invaded by my Parents
usually this means free dinner and touristy charleston roaming
But this visit is solely about the "New House"
so I have been Cleaning, Cleaning , Cleaning
fun stuff

But arn't we a beautiful Family

i wonder

The economy is on every ones lips now-a-days, which is understandable considering the tremendous job losses we've seen and the downturn of the stock market. It makes me wonder if we are going to take ideas from the past and make use of what we have to get by.

I have always preferred home made gifts (giving and receiving) and cooking at home is something that I truly love *thanks to that terribly over priced education. So the Boyfriend and I have a leg up on being prepared to stay in a bit more and save money.

I have been tossing around some ideas about the upcoming spring and how to really spread my budget. My income varies weekly (tipping is NOT a city in china) so for us there is no predicting the future. I dream of veggie gardens and sewing a good bit more. I should ask my Grandma about what she and my Granny did during the Great Depression.
