An industrious sinner I much prefer to a lazy saint.~ Sophie Kerr

South Carolina
 in the nation
(lucky us??)
*To Celebrate*
the Boyfriend and I went on a little

we may or may not have snuck into a very
touristy beach resort
complete with cabana bar
to drink frozen drinks
and enjoy the pre arranged beach loungers
*and umbrellas*
(there is a bikini top somewhere i swear)

It was a lovely way
~ to spend the afternoon ~

I love lamp.

Pendant Paper Lamp Midsummer Light, White

I saw this lamp in avondale
a few years ago
~and have never forgotten it~
I just don't know how to use it in the house
it's kinda a statement piece

P.S. it comes in pink too!

“No bees, no honey; no work, no money”

Hayes Valley Farm
My momma is allergic to honey bee stings
~I've never been stung~
*still*
Bee Keeping interests me
the boyfriend says only if we had more property

There is a organic farm in San Francisco
that has put time and energy into
farming and educating a community
Earlier this week
someone vandalized their thriving bee hives
killing over 250,000 honey bees
honeybees are already threatened
I don't understand what would bring someone
to do something like that
~it's a terrible thing~

A New Kind of Love~

One of my favorite guilty pleasure movies
is

It's silly
It doesn't take itself too seriously
and even though it may not have won any Oscars
I love to watch it on a rainy day afternoon
The Sixties fashion is fab
the story is hilarious
*Mistaken identity*Prostitution*Paris*

I need to break out my DVD's

A home fit for a toad

It's Hot Outside!
(understatement)
~thank goodness for popsicles~
I was thinning out my basil
*the secret ingredient in my tomato sandwiches*
when a toad popped out
from under the soil

He found a nice cool spot
to make it through the summer!
-he's welcome to stay-
now that I know he's there

*he did scare the daylights out of me though*
the first time he came flying out of the soil

about the new job.

*The new job is hectic*
I'm enjoying learning new things
and meeting new people
(i'm still bartending)
I'm working more hours
so when I have a day off
*today is the only one I'll see this week*
the boyfriend and I don't really do much
other than go to costco
and read magazines

Bees Knees Cheese

Giddy Goat Cheese
is a very special
local product
I picked some up
at the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market
it is smooth
creamy
and has that delicious goat cheese "bite"
I had to restrain myself
from just eating it straight out of the container
*I atleast needed some nice bread*
to slather it on

~ I especially like the logo ~
That goat is a cutie

A match made in Carolina Heaven~

Two of my Favorite foods
have teamed up
for some type
~of addictive~
*ridiculously tasty*
deep fried doughnut soda combo

Krispy Kreme+Cheerwine
(amazing right?!)

I checked 3 stores and finally found
a box
of Cheerwine filled Krispy Kremes!

So here are my thoughts on this Carolina inspired treat
~my love for Cheerwine knows no limits~
and the creme inside the doughnut
is a nice representation of the intense cherry flavor
that Cheerwine is known for
~medicinal aftertaste and all~
Pair that with a light fluffy Krispy Kreme doughnut
and top with fudge and sprinkles
it's a chocolate covered cherry doughnut
with a southern flair
*I love them*
The flavors of my childhood
met and had a baby
it's awesome!
