I Have Visitors! 

Boyfriend is out of town on business

(so my one of my best besties Charlotte and her boyfriend came to keep me company!)

We have been taking advantage of all the fun things to do in Charleston

*and that is alot*

I might even have a tan this summer with all the beach bumming i've been doing lately 

*Charlotte and I pre-Isle of Palms*

fingers crossed on those tans

seriously

We all scream for ice cream

*I was the luckiest Girl in the world one night*

When a good friend asked if I already owned a Kitchenaid stand up Mixer

(I had been saving my pennies for a long time to treat myself to one of those beauties) 

He had won a brand new mixer in a drawing at an appliance store opening

and wanted to know if I wanted it in exchange for a carrot cake

(his personal favorite) 

I love my mixer, and since i discovered this amazing attachment it gets lot's of use

* I'm thinking about hitting up the Piggley Wiggley for some Washington cherries*

there is something so southern in the romanticism that the south sometimes receives 

*when i can ignore the accents* 

i just watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

discovered the boyfriend loves running jokes 

and saw the south like i see it with my own eyes

be it 1918 or 2009 the south looks remarkably the same

the swamps and grand houses that i pass everyday

the fog the mist and the sun rising  over the water

i like to drive on roads that are canopied in Spanish moss 

over thin two lane roads that are surrounded by water and old bare trees

pluff mudd and salt water are in my veins

The Boyfriend and I are lucky enough to live in a very amazing place

(we loved our travels, but nothing helps you appreciate your home more than being away)

Our  town is a tourist destination of its own

We have History, Food, Beaches and U-Pick strawberries
